I had hoped someone else would help you since most of mine are either species or primary hybrids. I do have a soph. (now Cattleya) cernua and though it puts out growths twice a year, it only blooms once a year (faithfully, around the end of December). In the summer, it gets direct sun in the morning and a little in the late afternoon. My Cattleya (the former laelias are now Cattleyas, I think) species orchids get the same light (but they bloom on every new growth). I am thinking that yours probably needs more light. Hopefully, someone who grows more Slc's will give you more specific advice. Good luck!
