Personally I like baskets for vandas, if this isn't available to you I would also suggest a squat pot with minimal gravel just to anchor the plant and then let it grow hanging up. Most of mine are that way
There's something funky growing in your pot, you need to repot and replace media.
Vandas need air movement around the roots, that plastic cup won't cut the mustard.
Choose a slatted pot, plastic or square doesn't matter. Media your choice but think chunky, I prefer to use charcoal for vanda if I use media (I'm usually bare root though).
You do not mention where/how you grow. If in house, I recommend net pots (hold medium better, but still allows good air movement).
For a Vandaceous plant that small, I recommend a sphagnum/bark mix, using medium size nuggets. You have to water before medium goes dry, ideally augmented with misting or a fogger to keep humidity high.
Mistking
Looking for a misting system? Look no further. Automated misting systems from MistKing are used by multitude of plant enthusiasts and are perfect for Orchids. Systems feature run dry pumps, ZipDrip valve, adjustable black nozzles, per second control! Automatically mist one growing shelf or a greenhouse full of Orchids.
