If I mound my Neofinetia Falcata with moss in the traditional Japanese style, how do I water it? Do I just spray it? Pour water on top, like I do with my other orchids? I found easy instructions (at least, they look easy!) and thought I'd try it.

I was wondering that myself. I've been spraying mine (sometimes misting, waiting a few minutes for it to soak in and then misting it again making sure the moss is wet all the way through) when the moss gets crispy. Figured us okay cause I'm getting loads of new root growth.

I no longer grow them in sphag mounds but when I did...

they were in 3 inch net pot that fit perfectly in 9 oz. Solo cups (container size doesn't really matter). I'd soak them for a few minutes and let them drain. Whether they had uptruned tiny netpots, styro peanuts or just a hollow, I didn't water until the sphag was dry through and through.

Did you stop growing them that way for a reason? Too hard to maintain? Not the growth you expected?
