Not knowing from your original post, you can understand the validity of my earlier statements. (And there have been folks who have thrown a hissy cow because they figured the plant(s) they received should have been better even though the seller was very upfront both in word and picture.)
Like many vendors, this vendor does state that the plant photo is just a representation of the bloom ... not the actual plant. One lesson to take from this is to ask a vendor to send you photos of the actual plant(s) up for sale. If they refuse to do so, don't buy from them.
The fact that the vendor sent you another plant and refunded your $ without a fuss is a mark in her favor. There are many vendors who would make the whole affair into quite an ordeal.

Have to agree with Ray there. "Maybe" is the only accurate answer anyone could give you. (Though the local astrologist might presume to know better.)

With Ebay Positive reviews are always good but do not mean the product is good. The Positives could be coming from people who had the same problem as you. Since she fixed the problem or made the people happy They in return gave her a good review.
you need to read all the bad reviews to get a real idea as to what is going on. Give her a positive review but in the comments leave a little note about the plants health.
Good luck if all goes well you could have 2 awesome plants in a few years and sell one off and make some money.

Yeah, they did seem "too good to be true" but for me $12 is okay. I can't buy a new bottle of kelpmax at the moment because valentine's day is coming and I have to spoil my honey instead of my plants.
I think I won't purchase from her again, but so many people left positive reviews that I thought it would be a "safe" bet. If I have a psychopsis blooming in maybe 2-3 years, then I guess it was worth it in the long run.
This is a great learning opportunity, though. I'll PM you.

Yeah, for me I probably overreacted 10%, but I am not the type to throw a full-blown hissy fit. This is especially true because I at least knew mostly what I was getting myself into here. At the very least the seller is committed to making good customer service, so I made the youtube video about it private (visible only if I give out the link) so I can give proper updates on the plant every now and again.
As far as asking about a local OS, I only asked because school usually is scheduled when they have meetings, so I've never been able to go, haha! I figured you guys might have a "general" idea ... but maybe's a fine answer.

I'm glad to hear about the seller's action.
Maybe she wasn't wearing her glasses when she was picking out the plants. lol
I thought eBay plants usually have current pictures showing conditions of the plants. I have seen very few where there was no pictures.
Anyways, in the end, all is good. You got your money back.

A lot of the auctions show a plant that is "representative of the plant you will get" rather than the actual plant. (You find that when you read the entire listing) I like the ones that show the actual plant but many don't. I think they do that because they are selling multiples of the same type plant. I scroll through Ebay orchids almost every day.

I do see that type of listing too, but vast majority I see show the exact plant up for auction.
Flower pictures are often example picture though.
I never buy anything without the picture of the actual plant being offered.
Even then, I had some bad experiences. i.e. back of the leaves (of course not usually photographed) all diseased with spots and stuff.
The best thing is to go to the store or greenhouse and examine the plants of interest thouroughly and make a purchase.

If you're so lucky as to have a good greenhouse nearby!

I received a single backbulb psychopsis from this grower and it is doing fine. However, I knew what I was getting since it was a single bulb. It was just as shriveled and had no viable roots, so of course it has taken a while to get going, but that also has to do with my conditions. I forget to water it and it probably doesn't get enough sun. The original bulb has never gotten super plump, but did fill out more and the new growth is small and plump.
I figure since she is sending a new plant you might as well take a stab at it if you have the space especially since you have more pbulbs...it should recover much more quickly than mine.
I do understand the dismay at what you received, but hopefully she has been able to rectify it to some extent.

Yeah, she refunded AND replaced it and I asked if she'd like me to pay her for the replacement and she declined and said no money was needed.
So at least on the customer service side, she knows how to jump in and do more than enough to make things better.
I have learned a lot in this experience, and these rootless bulbs will probably teach me much more in the coming years while they recover!
It sounds as though I'm going to wind up with a healthy plant someday, which is a pretty exciting prospect, and I gave her positive feedback, so I suppose all's well that ends well.
