Cymbidium in spike? Female
Default Cymbidium in spike?

This is the first time my cymbidium has set forth a spike. Part of me says it is just new growth so I'd like to squash that and confirm this is actually a spike. The reason part of me thinks growth is because I purchased this guy off a clearance rack with major root loss.

The majority of me says spike though since the growth has not "unfurled". It is just a simgle tip giving way to more single growing tips. Hope that makes sense.

There are 3 of these growths in total.

Well thats good news the plant is recovering from the root loss it suffered. Just looked like what I read spikes are supposed to look like. Thanks for your input!
