Ok. so this picture isn't the clearest, but this is the newest addition to my collection. It is a dendrobium 'lakeview' (Isle x Super Star). This is my first Den. There are lots of buts waiting to flower, so I'm excited.

I got it in the mail today and the shoots are so thin that they need 3 stakes to hold them up. In fact I'm afraid one of them might have bent/folded before I could support it.

All of the dendrobiums I've seen in pictures have thicker shoots. Should I worry?

Thanks

Looks like quite a healthy plant to me! Maybe a little leggy and the leaves seem quite dark in colour. Perhaps
hasn't had been getting quite enough light. If you can put it in a fairly bright situation without letting it sunburn, that might help perk it up. Good luck.

The picture is not all that clear. However, the leaves look like they are a bit droopy, either from lack of water or from lack of adequate light (as Shirley mentioned). Are there ridges running down your the canes? If so, then you should bump up the water a bit until they plumpen. If not, then dont worry too much, just give it a good soaking and those leaves should perk right up. I noticed you had a Den burana in your gallery. It looks pretty healthy and might be a good "model," with respect to appearance, to aim for with your newest addition. Good luck!
