I think the Grandsons have the best intuition on this subject (mine included!) I, personally would like to see larger pics of the displays. I have a bit more than half my collection in the basement and plan to graduate (migrate?) into a stand setup like you have.

Those are some awesome setups there! Thanks for posting the pictures. I have a chrome shelf too - my dad the engineer said the shelf is probably strong enough to park a small car on!

I think that Florida sunroom would be worth divorcing my hubby for - well, almost. He's a pretty great guy, even if he doesn't share my passion for plants.

Hi Sheila

You just have to buy LOTS of orchids and he'll realize that building a room for them is just to protect the investment That's how I got mine

Hmmmmm... That's food for thought Susanne. Once the hobby becomes an investment, it must be protected of course.:iagree:

I think it's time to buy more orchids!

Susanne,

So I need to buy more EXPENSIVE plants, that's the solution, eh? Because I sure have plenty of quantity already!

I've had more plants than normal people for most of our 20 year marriage (I cut back some when I had a young child to keep me busy). So far I've got a spare bedroom with growlights. I still want a sunroom but can't afford to heat it up here in chilly Maryland. And the stubborn hubby won't move south - he hates heat!

Sheila
