I would see them on a Monday and on a Thursday I see them completely fallen over half way down the cane gone. I quit buying for a while to just try and get it to go away.

So now I have a Minn millennium growing like a weed and a cyanide golden shower and coming from Seattle orchid on Monday a Coryanthes Macranthum. I am really looking at just specific sellers I have had the best LUCK with now.
That is so strange. I wonder what it could have been. I completely understand about buying from sellers you've had good luck with. I personally haven't had any issue with SVO. I lost a couple seedlings that went pretty quickly from bulb rot, but that was my own fault.

Check out Clown Alley too, they have a Valentine's day deal for 20% off their entire stock. They have some nice looking ctsm. It is a shame these are not more easily available at shows and such. At least, none of the shows I've ever been to.

Well where I am at there are no shows! Lol my budget is very happy about that. But I did get a Coryanthes Macrantha from Seattle Orchid. So I'm slowly rebuilding my stock. :-) I will have to look at them. I think they are from texas as well. :-)

I just did an update on the shelving unit this weekend. Got a new tray for the bottom shelf and everything *should* fit now. I have a friend taking two of my mini phals to make a bit more room in the collection and my daughter took two of my NOID Phals that I wasn't a big fan of, so I think I am good now. It really helped to get the boot tray for the bottom shelf that I had up on the top. Gave me a lot more space and now I don't have to worry about plant trays getting knocked over by the dogs.

My non-favs, due to no blooms, are the ones that will spend spring and summer on my patio, depending on their temp tolerance. Then i think i can decide better if and what i will not want to keep. And it will be hard for me, too. So I can understand your tough decision. But like our local extension service rep said there are so many others to try that you cant cry over a loss.

Easy. Toss the ones you don't like.
If you like them all, then get rid of the mericloned orchids, which many of them are.
These are usually quite common and thus highly replaceable. So when you want them back, you can always buy them again.

Anything that gives you headache or not thriving under your care, get rid of them.

Trust me, you won't even remember them later.
There are sooooo many different orchids to try out there.

I know this is easier said than done. lol
I always shop and I always toss and give away.
Yet, sorting things out sometimes is very difficult.
