Beautiful flowers and photos!
So, snowflake311...you going to any orchid shows this year? Audience: If answer is yes, who wants to bet Snowflake is not done collecting?: ;) |
If you're truly "done", then you are obviously not a true orchid enthusiast, and I suggest you close your account and never come back here.
But I truly doubt that's the case! Nice, small, collection. |
Very pretty orchids! I ran out of space so I thought I was done too. Then I decided to get rid of a bunch of large Cattleyas that bloomed but once a year and went on a buying spree. :)

Beautiful flowers! :)
I think your dancing lady black is actually Oncidium Sharry Baby 'Red Fantasy' |
That's funny Ray. :D When I saw this post I thought that's what it was going to be about, being done and getting rid of a collection.
I said I was done getting Paphs for a while then came across Paph. Venustum at recent show (didn't know they were so small) and bam, now it's with me. Almost got a large Bulldog Paph but no...not this time at least... ... Snowflake, brace yourself, the day will come (it's happened to us all) when you will come across something amazing and then you're done. God forbid you become interested in creating your own crosses. ;) |
I was looking at when a show would be going on in Reno that would be the closest for me. After hearing all of you I need to stay away from the orchid shows.
I am trying not to buy any more or at least till I know I can get them to rebloom. I might end up buying more but shipping my others to my mom to make room. |
Good for you Snowflake for holding your bottom line! I think it might still be very worth the effort to visit the show whether or not you buy any orchids. After this first one for me I appreciate seeing such big and beautiful specimens. It may give you some extra encouragement in terms of your own care. :)
