New Growth Hwra. Lava Burst--flower spike?? Female
Default New Growth Hwra. Lava Burst--flower spike??

This Lava Burst tried to send up a spike a few weeks ago, but it got stuck in a leaf and wound up dying so when I saw that this little bulge-y thing had already split open the leaf it was growing next to, I helped it along and gently cut the leaf. What do you guys think? Is this another spike??

It very well could be! Which would be wonderful as well. But it started coming up between the leave and an existing pb, which is why I thought it was a spike. It split the leaf open! I've just not seen a new growth do that before

Cool beans! Thanks for the help. A new growth is awesome too! Just means I'll have to wait a bit longer for flowers

Is that typical, that a new growth begins inside the leaf of an older growth?
