How are the roots? The plant will have a better chance of recovering if it has a strong root system. If it doesn't have many good roots, you could try soaking it in a rooting hormone, like K-L-N. I've also heard very good things about KelpMax or similar seaweed products. I only just got KelpMax myself, so I can't say from experience yet how good it is, but from what I hear it can make a huge difference!

Best of luck to you. It sounds like this plant is really special, since it belonged to your granddad Keep us posted!

It has a very good root system from what I can see little or no dead roots. Will double check when reporting.
Will definately let you all know thanks. And yes very special.

Thanks for the tip will look into it further when (hopefully) i get it healthy again.

Well I managed to get some 1.5% hydrogen peroxide last night from tesco. Applied it last to the crown and the thing fizzed like mad!! Will keep applying until it stops fizzing. Do I leave the hydrogen peroxide in place or should I apply it for 5mins then remove with tissue? So far I have been removing it.
Many thanks.

I would remove it. Otherwise I'd be like leaving water in the crown. ..

Well I unfortunately have jut came back from a few days away to find the final leave has fallen off. 😢
I have reported and have my final hopes on it re growing half of the roots are still a nice green colour with some yellow and one or two black one.
Anyone got any last tips of CPR for a moth orchid?

I would hold a memorial service for it at this point, say "goodby", invest in another plant and learn from this experience.

Well I know it looks hopeless and it may well be. But mine came back from no leaves but the roots were still alive. It's up to you, it would be much easier to start over. I'm still working on it as mine, well I have 2 of them are still growing roots and it will be some time before they bloom.

I'm sure a very long time. But hay......I have hope.

I may start over but keep going with this one aswell. If it has no leave do I need to keep the roots out if the pot so that they get the sunlight and central then grow?
Thanks.
