Neofinetia falcata shojo...should i be worried? Female
Default Neofinetia falcata shojo...should i be worried?

Hi all, i received this from my sister for Christmas. I noticed that the tips are drying out...is this due to lack of watering (I've been eating when the sphagnum is crispy...which is what I've read to do in the winter but maybe I'm waiting till it's TOO crispy?!? ) or humidity or too much fertilizer (though I'm really not one to fertilize too often... Maybe very weakly biweekly) There are quite a few actively growing roots, nice and maroon tipped and 3 new growths. I've also noticed these little areas of what looks like scars (last 2 pics). I'd that what they are? Just from mechanical damage? They don't scratch off or anything... Should i be worried?

I see one pic with a brown tipped leaf and two pics of blemishes at the axil. To me, those three do NOT constitute a problem.

You don't need to fertilize if the plant isn't doing anything. I only water in the winter and that is 7-14 days apart (in other words, when I remember), with the exception of the bare root Furan. And that's on plants in in-organic medium.
