Have tou checked the "basic care instructions" in the oncidium alliance area? Do you know the type or name of your plant? Oncidium is a huge family of orchids with various care instructions that occur naturally from hot and tropical to high mountains where it is dry and cold. In addition, hybrids can thrive in one culture and barely hang on in another. If you need Identification, at least of the basic type, there is an identification forum.
It would be helpful for you to post pictures of the whole plant, a closeup of the base of the plant, and a description of the media if you can.
But the quick answer is Oncidium relatives generally like to stay moist most of the time, so water when it begins to dry but don't let it get dry. Give it bright indirect light and plenty of air circulation. Others will chime in with more. Good luck!
I have no idea what you mean by spider orchid oncidium. Brassia??
