I have several Oncidium alliance orchids, and every one of them is showing new growth....except for the NOID Brassia/Spider orchid I got from Trader Joe's. One of the leaves is yellow, another has some spots that may or may not have concerned me, and the pseudobulbs are somewhat softer than the other Ondidiums. The plant is in an oncidium mix from Repotme and is in the same window with the others. I pulled the plant out to give it a good seaweed soak, and while there are a lot of roots, they aren't green. That could be because they didn't get a lot of light, though being in a clear plastic pot, you'd think they would. I don't know if I am being a helicopter parent to my orchids, or if I have cause to worry. It doesn't look particularly unhealthy. It just isn't growing.
Is there a legitimate explanation for the lack of growth?

With one of my oncidiums it took a rest for about three months after flowering before resuming growth. I haven't come across an oncidium with green roots they tend to be white or light brown.

True that Oncidium roots don't usual green-up. Growing root tips will likely be green, tho.

Unless the softer than your other Onc alliance pbulb feel quite soft, are or become black or brown, it may be fine - not all will be in growth at the same time, and bigger plants (amount of growth wise) may seem to always be doing something, while smaller and / or less mature plants often may be less 'active' all the time.

If you can, post pix of the plant and roots.
