Flowers were growing along the cane

Default New roots?

2 of those new canes have small white things coming out of them and heading downwards. Could they be new roots?

As I posted earlier, I placed the dendrobium on my balcony and hoping for better results.

I am somehow concerned as some leaves seem like they have some sort of sticky liquid/drops on them. Is it some kind of sign that my plant is not okay?

Is it normal to have yellow leaves that look like they might fall off? Am I supposed to loose all leaves or are dendrobium the kind that keep their leaves all year round and loosing them would be a sign that it is not dong well.

When I first got the plant the outer pot was filled with some kind of sphagnum and there is barely any left. Should I get some more and fill in the gap between the 2 pots or do you advise me to get something else.

How often should I water it now that it's making new canes and roots and the weather is cold?

Oh god! I sound like a worried mom who just got her first baby

nobile hybrid for sure!

If it's cold even in your home, then keep the plants on the dry side and water once a week or when the pot dries out. With cold temperature, the growth won't be fast anyway.

Yelowing leaves are normal for these. These are deciduous plants. However, if the winter is not cold enough, many leaves will stay on and stay evergreen.
Let the plants do their thing.

I personally do not like how the leaves get in the way of flowers, so I always strip them off the cane once I see flower buds coming in the late fall or winter.

Sticky dews, it's hard to tell without looking at your plants in person, but it can be either natural (especially if they are at the base (and underside) of the leaves where they attach themselves to the cane) or it might indicate that you have sucking insects.

This is exactly where they are located.

So... bad news... this morning I woke up and found my dendrobium on the floor in a puddle of rain water

I picked it up and took it back inside the house and dried all the leaves with a napkin

But I really need to know if I should only use sphagnum moss to fill the pot or do you guys recommend something else ?

What you choose has a lot to do with your conditions and your watering habits.

I grow mine in non organic materials such as small rocks, LECA (small round red balls of expanded clay?) or mixtures of bark and rocks. I do this because I am a frequent waterer in the warm months and this drains well.

Are those Keikis?
Should I be cutting them and planting them in another pot?
