Orchid price, NoId phal

I know what you mean. My son got me a beautiful Phal for Christmas. It had big yellow flowers with red in the center of the flower. So pretty. But when I looked at it closely I saw that it had crown rot real bad. So we enjoyed it over Christmas day and I returned it on Thursday. It cost $20 and I would have gladly gotten another one but there were none that colorful. I have been looking everywhere for one just like but I haven't found one yet. As soon as I find one that pretty I'm buying it

The one I was interested in was "just" plain white flowers, (which I did like a lot.) It was the plant that stood out to me. Leaves standing tall and firm, all the aerial roots, the root system under the media looked full of vitality...

I feel like a 2 year old because I'm all kinds of sad that it was gone. Still. lol

Don't feel too bad. With Valentine's Day coming, there are going to be Phals everywhere!

Good point Leafmite, that also means many will also be discounted a little while after. I still love NOID phals, they are my first love 😊

The noID Phals seem to be bred to be tough, bloom beautifully and grow well. I had found a really beautiful white one (sound familiar?) but my daughter took it off to college with her, along with the one I bought her. :|
We will have to compare what we find after the holiday.
