hi

i have a vanda that has a lot of leaves but no roots and its flowering

should i cut the spike so the plant can recover or what?

i need some advice

i bought it at a nursery and what a shocker they dont understand sh**... the woman told me that the plant was ok because it was flowering :O

I would cut the spike, and give the plant a nice soak in some seaweed to stimulate root growth.

I live in Portugal i dont know what that seaweed is :O is that some rotting hormone?

Been snapped in half? Hope you didn't buy it like that.

Cut the spike. It's already getting dehydrated, look at the leaves closely. You will struggle keeping it alive without roots. It should start dropping leaves within days.

when i bought it i had dried roots and the cuted part was dried to i cuted the dried part out


it already dropped one leaf

im gonna cut the spike i want to keep it alive a really like it

Oh, poor orchid Cut the spike right away and try any rooting hormone you can find ASAP. I agree that the leaves will start falling very soon, try your best to get some roots and hopefully the poor thing will pull through. It is a beautiful vanda, though!

Is it worth the time, effort and money when chances of recovery are at best slim?

What the nursery did was seriously unethical. I am guessing that your new to vanda orchids?

Tomorow im gonna drentch it in rooting hormone

NOP im not i havê a healthy Vanda ando another até discount that its starting to grow roots but never had onde with spike
