This year I plan to
  1. bloom at least one of my vandas (ive only had them for 2 months but 4 of the 7 have old spikes so I know they are blooming size)
  2. acquire a fragrant orchid ... DONE
  3. rehabilitate 3 rescued noID mounted orchids (I've ID'd one as a brassavola nodosa, the others are still unknown)
  4. Not murder any of the above mentioned

to me

[QUOTE=The Mutant;725760]Sounds like at my place (except I have over 70 orchids right now) if you replace the bathroom with the kitchen sink.

Sound like me over 70-kitchen sink

First stop buying orchids. I have enough Phals. I know I can rebloom Phals. All my other kinds of orchids I bought with in the last 5 months. SO I need to stop buy any different kinds until I get the ones I have to rebloom.

So Get my Other Orchids to Rebloom.
Stop buying orchids at least until I get some to rebloom.
Try and grow some outside on my deck this summer.

Mine that I need to stop is Masdevallias. I've tried three and killed them all. I cannot find the happy balance to keep them wet enough, but not so wet that they rot. I'm giving them up and will admire them from afar.

I am trying my first one, as soon as it gets here. With the cold, not sure what kind of shape it will be in. I really like them but not sure I can grow them.

I have decided to add to my list. Check the weather ahead of ordering. What kind of ninny orders orchids when temps are going to drop into single digits? At least Andy's caught my mistake and have held my three plants until we thaw out here. I felt so stupid when he called me but happy to wait a few days. Going to arrive on Tuesday! Yeah
