Seems Maudiae types are notorious for getting more than one flower, especially considering they're single flowered.
If it'll develop two flowers, you will notice. Here are some of my species that decided a double bloom would be nice. My callosum var. subleave, my sukh (I removed the spike because of issues with the Paphs), and my wardii.
This is what it looks like when they decide to really go for it. I think yours might be showing that it has the genetics to get two flowers.
