When I opened the box, it was a little chilly in there, nothing like when I opened the cattleya shipment in 25°F though!

I did use a paper towel and a q tip to wick away what I could. I must not have steady hands.. I also treat new orchids very carefully like they're super fragile...

If I put my paph outside right now, it would dry up, but also freeze to death too I would love to be somewhere warmer!

Since they're acclimating, I'm watching for signs of rot. (Like my poor young Cattleyas experienced.)
The paph Sukhakulii shed a bottom leaf the first night home. If its black where it came off, does that mean rot, or could it just be old too? https://www.flickr.com/photos/222877...57649917878471
The paph HCM has a bottom leaf with growing brown spots that I'm keeping an eye on. The leaf is also yellowing? I think I may just cut that off for some peace of mind, Idk yet.

Thanks! I'm really loving these paphs! I think they might be my favorite type..

I think shedding those leaves could be due to the stress of the shipping. I also got a batch pf Paphs right before the weather turned really cold, and my Wössner Kolarmi will probably shed its bottom most leaf. The leaf has some brown spots that are growing and the leaf is turning yellow (sound familiar?

). I'm keeping my eye on it, just to be on the safe side, but it seems normal to me.
