Earlier this spring I acquired a couple of Dendrobium NoID (nobile type) keikies from my mother, and have been growing them on through the summer. They have each put out two new canes and many new roots, but are still very small. The largest cane is maybe 2" tall. Should I observe the winter rest for these plants, even though I don't really expect them to bloom being so young?
I would also just keep on growing the plant, but many of the nobile hybrids will bloom as small as 2'' tall cane.
Does that cane have matured or is it still putting out the leaves?
They each have one mature cane with leaves, one actively growing cane, and one back cane without leaves. I have them in my cool growing terrarium with day temps between 80°-85° and night temps between 58°-62° and a constant humidity of 80%. I mist everything in there daily, but can easily hold back on those two if need be.
