Ascofinetia Moonlight Firefly. Its dying and I don't know what I did wrond.
A few weeks ago I got a Ascofinetia Moonlight Firefly. It came through the mail. It had a heat pack in it that was still warm. Today I went to water it and saw that a few leaves have fallen and the new center leaf is brown. I looked closer and saw that I he roots were healthy and green and that the new devotion grown is still looking healthy. Now my question is how and why is it dying. I water it once a week. It stays about a 6inches to a foot from the glass of the window so not to get cold drafts from the window. And I have a small personal fan going on low to have a constant air movement. I have another Ascofinetia Moonlight Firefly from the same flask (I bought them from the same seller) and its doing great. Loves the split its in. Its next to the one that is dying.
I don't think watering once a week is enough for a bare root plant. I would water it every day and put it very close to a humidifier. What is your water quality?

I have well water. Its not run through a soften system.

Ok, but do you know the mineral content? In any case, watering only once a week AND running a fan is dessicating your plant. You should water every day.
If your other plants are ok with your well water, it's probably not bad. But please water more frequently.
They can get crown rot but it isn't typical. I have mine potted and give them egg shells a few times a year as a constant calcium source but your well-water probably provides it already. Mine do well without much humidity but I do water them frequently as mine are in red lava rock and basket/net pots. Good luck!
