Anyone ever buy orchids directly from Yamamoto in Hawaii?

I really love Den Nobiles and my husband wants to buy me some for Christmas. Yamamoto has some really beautiful plants. I know they are not in bloom right now but that's OK. Has anyone bought plants from them. I don't see a place to order them on their web site. There is info about ordering them but not an order form.

Have you tried calling them? Some growers, even big ones, have not jumped onto the e-commerce wagon.

I tried calling and got an answering machine. I emailed a few days ago and have not heard back yet. I also googled Yamamoto and I didn't see an ebay site. I plan on trying to call again on Monday. I was just wondering if anyone else has bought orchids from them.

I bought a very nice cattleya from them off Ebay. Very healthy, nicely packed. opps sorry I bought from Kawamotoorchids not Yamamoto.

What you can do is make a list of everything you need to order and its price then total it and fax it to them. And wait for a reply or they might call you back. You get the machine because you probably do not know the time difference between Hawaii and your state. Chances are you phone them when they are closed.
Its too bad they don't have a basket to pay for everything when you are done.

I finally got a reply email from them. They asked that I email back a list of what I would like and they would check availability and send me an invoice with what I need to pay. I'll let you all know how it works out.

I'm sorry I missed your post.
Yamamoto Orchids are located here in the Puna District where I live.
Not far "as the crow flies", but about 35 or more miles by road.
I have kept several of their hybrids at one time or another.
They are top quality orchids and relatively easy to grow when compared to D. nobile species.

I've checked into them and found that they do sell retail from their Puna location.
I've just kept putting off going by to take a look at what they have available.
Plus, I had acquired a copy of my absolute favorite Yamamoto Nobile hybrid from the greenhouse that was going out of business, a D. Yukidaruma 'King'. That took the pressure off to go by their location.

They're beautifully colored and beautifully fragrant.
