Question Oncidium new growths

A quick question about the Oncidium alliance plants. I have quite a few different ones, but I'm a bit confused about how they grow. I see that they have the Pseudo Bulbs and the spikes come up from the bottom of the PS. The new growths look like fans of leaves rather than Pseudo bulbs. Do they turn into pseudo bulbs or do the PSs look like PSs when they come up ?

The new growths do look like little fans and come from the base of a mature pseudo bulb. The new ones will eventually develop a more visible pseudo bulb as they grow and mature.

Typically there is no pb visible when new growths begin on Oncidiums. Instead all you will see is what may look a bit like a closed up fan. As the growth matures, the pb swells/enlarges becoming very prominent.
