Orchid for a terrarium?
I've got a 5 gallon jug, and would like to insert a orchid seedling through a 1" hole at the top. I'm also using wine corks as a substrate, not really a growing medium, and will get other growing medium to go along with it.
I'm told that orchids might not tolerate the stagnant air and high humidity in a terrarium. I'd still like to give it a try.
So my questions:
1. What orchid is most likely to thrive in these conditions?
2. Where can I find a small seedling?
3. What would be a good growing medium to compliment the corks? It's my understanding the corks aren't likely to break down much.
