Sure, but the shipping cost is a killer.

I bet. My problem is that in Spain there is very little choice, so whenever I need something complex and precise, I end up shipping it halfway across europe. Plus, that fertiliser of yours doesn't seem to be available in Europe even, so if I have to ship that across, it might actually be cheaper to get the lot from you than get the fertiliser from you and the Unti from the UK or Germany. Can you give me an idea what the shipping would be for a large bag of fertiliser and a unit please?

Just like to say thankyou to Ray, who has been taking the time to go thru what I need for an RO system, and answering a whole tranche of questions about orchid fertilisation.
So, that's my christmas present sorted!

Is it not amazing that a question about worm tea can foster international debate! Just great.

Borads like this are a great example of how people will come together and help each other get the best out of a hobby.
Thanks to everyone that has helped. It may not always be said, but it is always appreciated.

And this is one of the best online communities for that, with little sniping (you know who you are).

Bil, I hope you are lucky and get the items you need. How many Orchids do you have and do you have any pictures. Also if and when you have your set-up completed, post pics, we would like to see how the Europeans deal with hard water.

Thank you. I have been using hard water, but I'm going to get one of Ray's RO units, and give his K Lite a try. I'm also building a greenhouse, as my collection is a damn nuisance in the woodshed. I have about 40, ten phals, ten Catts, ten hardcanes, three soft canes, three vandas and a couple of cymbidiums.
So far one vanda, one catt flowering, but the hard canes are going mad.
Here's some pics.

You know, I'm thinking if your Orchids are doing that great with hard water, changing to RO water might shock them a lot. I have hard water here in New Mexico. It is so bad that it crusts faucets and shower heads with hard white gunk. We used to use salt to soften it, but I could not have any houseplants. Then we installed a Scale watcher and we have no more problems. This is an electronic descaler and I believe they are a worldwide company.
you can probably google them. Scalewatcher is the company name. My Orchids are thriving.
