Congratulations! Are the roots good? Any sign of decay? I would leave it alone, give it a quarantine period to make sure it didn't bring home passengers. Keep it warm, good humidity, bright light.

While you are watching it during its quarantine, if you still want to re-mount it, then get the supplies you will need. But leave it alone to acclimatize to its new home.

NOTE: I did not see pictures when I replied. The two photos looks like a plant without a pot. A lot people grow this type of Vanda, bare root. So maybe you should keep it that way?

Were you able to see the roots in pictures? (Sorry I'm new to posting). I think they are. Different tones of greens. She gave me a basket but her English was hard to understand. There is 2 "tree branch look & feeling" out of all the roots, should I trim them. I have it hanging my bathroom due to temperature drop tonight

I don't see any pictures.

Are you wanting to Semi-hydro this? I don't have a vanda but some Ascos and they like their roots exposed or at the most in very open media.

Do not ever trim healthy roots unless you really know what you're doing (I am not one of those) and for what purpose (can't think of one). Varying green roots are healthy, just means they have adequate moisture. They will turn white when dry-still means they are healthy, water soon. If they start wrinkling and shriveling, they are dehydrated.

This thread is posted in Semi-Hydro. Ask one of the moderators/admins to move it to the Beginner's or Vanda forums.
