I accidentally posted this in this semi-hydroponics forum. Once I realized that I then re posted it on the beginners forum for vandas. But I'm not sure if I'm doing this the right way. The pictures showed up under my other post. How do I find where you moved it to? Thanks for any help

When you look at the list of threads under "new posts" or "today's posts" for example, it shows which forum it is in. They all show up in the list of threads, so you have two now with the same title. I will see if I can combine them or something. I'm a new moderator so am learning as I go also

Yes, this is correct. Shall I just cancel your other thread?

Yes please. But is there a reason why I'm not getting any responses on the other forum and only this one? FYI I'm browsing around OB to try and learn more about how this works. So I thank you.

Not sure what you mean by other forum?

I've just merged the two threads together so everything is in this thread and it is in the beginner forum. All threads, regardless of which category, show up in the new posts and today's posts so you should get feedback here.

I'm not aware of a Beginners forum under the Vanda category. On the left side of the screen see Site Menu. 2nd item there is Forums. Click on Forums and it opens up a menu of topics such as Classified, Orchid Discussions (Beginners is here), also a list of Orchid Alliances to post about one specifically, etc. You can choose any one of these to post your thread and also to see other threads under that heading.

To see current discussions that are active at the moment, go to the top of the screen to Forum menu and click on New Posts, or click on Quick Links to get a drop down menu where you can find various options , including Today's Posts. Those were active in the last 24 hours. New Posts and Today's Posts are posts from any of the categories in the forum. Hope that makes sense.

Your vanda looks to be in really good health. There are some different choices for potting vandas. They do grow well with their roots dangling if you can give them enough humidity, but if that isn't practical, vase culture or adding lava rock, large chunks of coconut chips or sphagnum moss with chunks of charcoal are some choices. Soak the roots well to make them flexible. You should put it basket and all in to another basket, if that is what you decide on. Do not trim the roots.
