I'd appreciate feedback please. I simply can't get glass here. So my choice for the roof is down to two types of corrugated plastic sheet. One is a clear glass fibre sheet that knocks the light down by about 40%, and a slightly bluish clear plastic that looks as tho it would let thru a bit more light.
My choice was the acrylic glass 'Alltop' because of high permeability for ultraviolett light combined with good thermal insulation.
For less insulation two layers of a strong plastic sheet are a good solution, but the gap in between must be inflated permanently. Eventually you can take bubble wrap. Depends on your priority.

No, I am stuck with a rigid corrugated roof. Good point on the permeability of UV. Is that important with orchids?
