Rodriguezia Lanceolata seedling blooming?
I had bought 2 Rodriguezia Lanceolata Secunda seedlings a year ago, when I recieved them they were very small. They have done some growing, but I would still consider them seedlings. I have no prior experience with these type of orchids so I was shocked when I found flower spikes on both of them. My question is how big should they be when they start to flower? Are these miniature plants or are they flowering incredibly early?

I forgot to mention the larger seedling has a total of 6 spikes! Is that normal to have so many? And the smaller one has 2 spikes so far

Mature Rodriguezia lanceolata should have leaves 3-10 inches long, so they can start blooming at a pretty small size. Up to about 6 spikes per growth can be expected. Information from Baker culture data in OrchidWiz.
And thank you for perpetuating the pervasive orchid forum meme: My orchids are growing/blooming too much, what's wrong?

I think under good conditions they grow rapidly and now have reached the size for flowering. Please don't forget to post pictures when flowers are open.

I will post a pic as soon as it flowers, they will be tiny I,m sure. These pics are zoomed in a great deal, so the spikes are tiny and the flowers will be too.

Great job! It is a funny concept, to worry it's blooming too much! I would like to have this worry soon .
I don't have any experience with this genus myself but it does remind me of one of my Tolumnias in shape and size, though yours is bigger. Whatever you're doing is making this plant happy, I applaud you on that. Please do share when its blooms appear, I'm anxious to see them too!
Thanks for sharing!
