Spiking on Cymbidiums
Default Spiking on Cymbidiums

I live in N. Ohio and I put 3 Cymbidiums outside for the summer. Each was purchased at different times. The one that appears to have spiking by the new growths is the one
purchased blooming from Trader Joes in March/13. Wouldn't this be too early? Should I continue to water and fertilize ? The spiking looks like little triangular nubs by the new growths. The other one was a gift and blooming in Dec/13. and it appears that there is either going to be more new growths or again maybe the nubs. The one purchased at a Garden Show from Hawaii Feb/14 is just adding height and size to the new growths. I need help because it appears that you just keep them moist when you bring inside. I plan to keep them outside for awhile longer. Night temps here will soon be in high 40's. Help.....I am confused on what to do ...appears that each are on a different cycle.
