Default I have a lame question....

I'm a little OCD about my orchids and I just bought my first Gastrochilus Obliquus! I plan to mount him when I get home tomorrow after work! The problem is....

He had "stickers" (price tags) on his leaves. I hate that. I can't get them off and the best I could do is remove the paper part, leaving the gluey part behind. I don't want to scrape with my nail as I've tried that mistake before and damaged the leaves.

Any suggestions for an easier way to get this crap off? I thought about WD-40 but I'm afraid I'll clog up the stomata. Anyone ever had into this issue before? Thanks@!

How about a good soak in oil (just on those spots) for a while that you can then wash away with soap and water?

Rubbing alcohol (wipes work better then alcohol on a cotton ball), I use it on my girls to get the goo from bandaids or stickers off of their tender skin. It works like a charm and doesn't cause damage.

When using rubbing alcohol, just be careful of drafts which can cause alcohol burn on the leaves, but otherwise, it shouldn't hurt the plant.
