Probably not the place to ppst this but hope the mods will leave it for awhile before relocating it. Have to sell whole collection. location is southwest coast California. 145 plants of varying quality. Most know my collection. $500 or best offer. Lost growing place. Thanks.
I'm sorry to hear this. No chance of finding another place for a smaller collection? I know if I had the space I'd take this...you have some nice plants.
This is horrible! You can't get rid of them! Your posts always made orchid growing look so easy. If I still lived in SoCal I would hold onto your plants for you until you could keep them again, just so you wouldn't have to start from scratch.
I hope that whoever does get them treats them with great care.
I am so sorry to hear this. I know I would be devastated to give up my whole collection. I hope there will be something that happens for you to keep at least some :-( I wish I was in California and had space.
Have you contacted local societies? SoCal o sp soc has auction in placentia in November I think. Also around the corner from you is Andy,s. SD society is also quite active and has large membership. Not sure how quickly you need to vacate. in case you have oberonia hippeophylum and or notylia I am interested. Pm me
Good luck!

Ps. You may be better off donating collection to society and take charitable donation tax deduction. Afaik if value is below 5k ther is no appraisal required. I am not a pro tax perpetrator so do check with someone qualified to give you sound advice in your situation. But if you assess 500 plants at bargain price of $10 you are at the magig 5k number. depending on marginal tax rate of say 25% that would save $1250 in taxes.
Or assess a bit higher per plant and split between 2-3 societies ...
