Default Psychopsis papilio v. alba- spike or growth?

I think....I think this might be a spike! If so it's my very first spike that I can take credit for....maybe. I got this plant in late July. So- maybe it was started and I didn't notice. Anyway- what do you think?

(PS- the plant came with severely wrinkled pbulbs and a spike, but my cat nibbled on the spike...it's putting out a new bud now)

My psychopsis is putting out a new growth but mine looks more leafy than yours, so I would guess a spike Don't know much about these though to say for sure. How do you grow yours?

Western window and it's in orchiata, perlite, charcoal, and granite chips (Ray's Better Off potting medium in the medium grade). I fertilize at about 100 ppm N weekly. The humidity in that room, which is the main orchid room and has the most plants by far, is about 60% and I usually have a fan running.

I wish the bulbs would plump back up but I already think I overwater and one old leafless bulb seems to be possibly rotting.

I leave water in the saucer under mine. I wait till it is gone in the saucer then water. I only occasionally let it dry out. If you decide to water more, up it a little slowly. Not sure which you are getting, but I think maybe growth. That's a good thing too.

It looks like a growth to me as well, which is still really good.

I think it's a spike because vegetation (well, in mine), are more "pressed" and less cylindrical.

It's hard to see, but it's sort of freckled too...don't know if that makes a difference. Well, nothing to do but watch! I googled images and it's so difficult to weed out the actual pictures you want.
