Paph flowers with deformities can be either genetic (= permanent), or due to insufficient water during bud development. As the latter covers a 5-6 month period, it could have been caused at production nursery, wholesaler, reseller and/or multiple shipping perods. Next blooming, after a full year under your growing conditions, will be a more reliable indicator.
