Haraella Retrocalla, How Are YOU Growing It?
I purchased a Haraella Retrocalla in spike back in June. The spikes have stalled their growth since I bought it. I'm wondering if I could be growing this in a better circumstance and just want to see how others who have bloomed this plant are growing theirs.
Please! Post pictures! I'd love to see your setups and read any commentary you have on how you feel it grows best in your conditions!

I grow mine mounted on a bit of cork with a pad of sphagnum. I has 3 spikes right now. One spike is on its second flower. The first flower fell off when we were away and it got too dry .
I keep mine moist which requires daily care when it is outside in the summer. In the winter it "lives" in a little table top greenhouse which has very high humidity so it requires a lot less care. So far so good!

I know you know what setup looks like.
But I discovered something today.
My spike did not stall as I suspected.
The bud got trapped and was so small I didn't notice.

Have a few, one mounted on hygrolon cylinder, one mounted on driftwood in the vase, all growing very well and spiking pretty much constantly nonstop through out the year, at one point all had 3 spikes with open buds. It likes moist, but not soggy, it likes light, weak fertilizing. I am sure it would grow very well in some simple setup like glass orb or small vase with life moss on the bottom and the mount placed on the top too. It seems like it does not mind good air movement (the one on cylinder), but it does very well without air movement (the one on driftwood in the vase, no fan).

I have posted pictures of mine. I had it mounted on a hunk of lava rock with live moss, kept in a clear plastic cube with water always on the bottom, clear lid on top. I opened it up only to smell the flowers or, once every few months, to add water. It was always in bloom. Unfortunately, the rock was a little small and the flowers were always dragging into the water so I decided to try growing it on top of expanded clay pellets in that same cube. It is happy there, too, still busy blooming. I have a second one that came from Andy's mounted on a stick and it is sitting in another cube, the stick wicking water to the roots, and is currently in bud.
Good luck, they are actually very easy to grow as long as the roots are kept moist but exposed to air and they have plenty of humidity.

I purchased my Haraella Retrocalla with two spikes. One bloomed about a month ago and the other is just starting to form a bud. So there is about a 3 month delay from the first bloom to the second bud forming.
The picture I attached is from when I first bought the plant in June.
I have mine growing in sphagnum moss. It dries out quickly... I water it about 3 times a week. It gets partial sun.
