Unhappy Leaf bite?? Phal with screwed up leaf

sorry, i couldnt' figure out how to do thumbprints or embed in here.
This dry section has been around forever and i didn't mind it since the rest of the leaf was ok. Now it looks like there's yellow starting to spread out from the dried out part. Should i just chop the leaf off?

I wouldn't worry about it. There's not much wrong with that leaf, as long as the black doesn't noticeably start to spread into the rest of the leaf. You can watch it and maybe if the hole starts growing or the black starts to move into the leaf you could carefully cut around the edges of the hole with a sterile knife and then dress the wounds in anti-fungal or cinnamon or something.

Cutting off the whole leaf isn't necessary though, just keep an eye on it.

Looks like physical damage, perhaps sunburn. Don't cut leaf, it may be unsightly but it is contributing to overall health of the plant.
