Default Happy sap?

Hi guys, lately I've been noticing that a few of my orchids are extruding some clear sap from the undersides of the leaves. I know this can be an indication of pests but look as i may, i can't seem to find any mites or scale. No webs, no red streaks with wiping, no little mealy bugs or scale that i can see... On my phals is usually on the edges of the leaves and on the den its mainly at the underside of the leaf where the leaf meets the cane. I have been putting them outside these couple of days as we've had some nice weather. I doing knife if that would affect anything... Should i have any cause for alarm?

It's honeydew secreted by healthy plants. But since it's like sugar water,it can lead to sooty mold and any sucking pests enjoy this cocktail. I don't remove the sap but keep an eye out for bugs anyway. Always ready for waste management!

Thanks Dea. I'm on high alert for bugs recently cause i bought a couple of new orchids where i found what looks like a mealy bug. Thank goodness i had kept it in quarantine and it never got near my other plants but still.... Can never be too careful. Haven't seen any since that first day. I'm waiting for the middle of next week to see if there will be a wave of new bugs. Hopefully not.
