Default Oncidiums with rusty, brown areas

Several of my oncidiums have the rusty brown areas on both sides of leaves and not all leaves on plant have it. What is it and what should I do?

Hi pjoe! Typically that would be mite damage but it's hard to tell without a picture. Try this...get a white napkin and run it along the underside of the leaves. Have a look-see at your napkin and check for a dirty smear. If you find that your napkins is stained, you have buglets that need to be eradicated. Next step...

Involves a flame thrower.

No just kidding. Depends on the bugs.
