new root? Female
Default new root?

okay, so my mom went out and bought another rescue, took it home, removed it from it's pot and cut off all the mushy roots. still lots of good roots left...

she also found this.... new root?

okay...and she also said she found some "jelly like stuff stuck to the roots" in one area. she didn't know what it was so she snipped it off. unfortunately she didn't take a picture of it before doing so. any ideas anyone?

I think they start the orchids in some kind of spongy foam-like material. I found that on one of mine when I repotted it.
