This may sound like a silly question.
I recently purchased some orchids, and noticed there's date on orchid label. What does the date mean? Does it indicate the age of the orchid, or just the time the orchid was repotted in its current pot?
I checked with the seller but didn't get a reply, so would like to find the answer here. It looks like a common thing to do when making the label. Thanks!
If you bought it from another orchid hobbyist, it's probably the date it was last repotted.
If it's printed on a tag like some of mine from ecuagenera, I have no idea what that date means but I don't think it has anything to do with repotting, I think it might be a collection date, or a date that the orchid was deflasked?
When did you email the seller? Sometimes it takes a couple of days to get a reply from the seller. If the seller is no help, contact the nursery that provided the plant in the first place, since they are likely the ones that printed the tag.
