Nice plant. Did you grow this long? The neo's that I see in lava all seem to do very well if kept moist enough. I like them. Nice small flowers. Please post again when in full flower.

i got this one last oct. it bloomed a few days after receiving it, and this will be its first rebloom with me. it seems fine in the lava rock, i havent lost any roots and its been growing a few more for the last month. i mist it everyday and water every two weeks. . . will definitely post more pics

i was nervous about the lava rock at first, but with bark for most of my plants(mainly cattleyas) it was staying to wet and rotting roots. my catts. love it and have been throwing roots and new growth like crazy, and the neo has pretty much been neutral on growth until recently

Were you using the small bark for the catts? Western Washington is way too wet for small bark I would think. I would use medium bark if it is staying too wet. I know a person in Eastern Washington who uses pumice for their cattleyas. He says it's pretty good.

It was the medium sized better gro mix. I also like the lava rock because it doesnt degrade and it holds water for a little. Plus one of my catts has a little size so it doesnt throw itself out of the pot now ha
