Default Keeping Humidifiers Scale Free!

I run 3 warm mist humidifiers for my plants. The quality of my water is such that scale accumulates rather quickly inside the units (I water my plants with rainwater). I have seen several products that can be used in the humidifier water tanks, to cut down on scale deposits. My question is this: While these products seem like a great solution, is it possible that they could also cause bud blast due to possible additives in the mist?

What's the ingredients of the products you're considering? Do you know?

That's my response as well. Distilled water or RO water is too cheap to ignore as an alternative.

I would love to be able to use rainwater but right now my collection system is just not big enough to water my plants and keep the humidifiers running

Steam distilled water is pretty cheap these days. Check it out at your local grocery store.
