The leaf is not done growing yet. It is not unheard of to have two leaves growing at the same time. My mini is doing that right now.

Two leaves at the same time? Happens all the time. Growing new roots "and" leaves at the same time? Normal. Here are a couple of mine. These were repotted a couple months ago as a pictorial here to demonstrate how to repot phals without losing the flowers.
