Pics from our last orchid auction.
Here are a coupla pics from my orchid club's last auction. We have really nice plants for auction. Club's are one of the best places to learn about orchids in your area and how they grow best. I strongly suggest you join your local club and enjoy it's benefits. An hours drive once a month is an easy outing and club meetings are usually very enjoyable affairs.

Lovely! And I really like how much you enjoy being a part of this!
I like the big, yellow Blc with the red lip; I have something very similar, tho re mine, the petals and sepals are plain yellow.

Each OS has a different flavor. I an a member of two, Deep Cut in central NJ, and North Jersey.
NJOS has a unique arrangement. We meet at a local catering hall, which does not charge rent. Caterer makes a buffet dinner, which majority of attendees participate in at $14 per person. Not paying for the facility enables the OS to pay for better speakers, so we have a good program.
Anyway, whether you are a novice or a 45 year addict like me, the OS is always a source of information (& plants). Even with my 800+ or so plants, there is always something I do not recognize on the show table.

My local Orchid club is doing their auction in August. SO excited! Last time I went to their raffle I picked up 2 amazingly beautiful plants for less than $5!
I was really hoping to win the orchid that was native to my region, but almost all the members put tickets in for that one
