I would have mixed feelings about receiving a "plant" like this.
On one hand - 5 plants instead of 1.
On the other hand - they "faked" selling you a more mature multi-growth plant! It will be a long time before it blooms (or they bloom), much longer than implied by the original appearance in the 1st photo. If they sold it to you indicating that it is really 5 small plants on 1 mount, then that is fair.
Just today I was reading about propagation techniques, and one of the articles, involved using single pseudo bulbs, placed in a terrestial orchid mix, in clear, and sealed plastic bags. After a few weeks, each pseudo bulb sprouts, just like your pictures.
