Dendrobium new growth rot
Hi everyone, i have been growing dendrobiums fir years and tgeir pattern of growth is once the blooms wilt a new growth from the base will emerge which when fully develop will bloom. Some pseudobulbs have 2 leads guving me 2 basal growth but some have one. Yeaterday o saw that one of my new dendro with only 2 new pseudobulb has a rotten basal growth. Its about 2 inches and the base of the new growth where it is attached to the mother plant is soft and squishy. I removed it and cleab the mother plant. So what happens now, given it only has one lead will it grow another growth? How will it continue the cycle if the basala keiki die? I have encounter stunted growth of basal keiki but eventually they produce new growth from their leads. But this one rot and i do not kbow if i can still have new growth. Any advice? Thank you
