Clearance aisle strikes again! New phals
I swear, every time I walk past the clearance plant section, new plants hop in my cart and follow me home! I got a giant cat palm, and these two phals :-)
The orange one was only 5 dollars. The white one is my favorite. It is huge compared to the other ones for sale. It has roots going everywhere! I guess nobody bought it because somebody broke both flower spikes and there are only two flowers left on it.

Lauraeli,
I too find plants jumping into my cart. Lowes is good for that. The usually have a small table full of broken, and no one wants me orchids and others that need a home.

They had one that was a dark purple/red. I really like the color, but I passed it up because most of the roots were dead. I couldve brought it back to health, but I already have Stubby, my one-root wonder to take care of lol.

I dont know. I was just sitting around, and I thought, the orchids are clearanced; Im going to go buy one. So I went to the store, and sure enough, they were. Psychic I guess. ;-)
Anyway, i think prices are regional. They were 50% off. Though Ive never seen them clearanced while still so much in flower. A lot of the ones left 'looked' nicer (more flowers). But I went by flower color and root health since I dont intend to throw them away after the flowers are gone.

Help me out here guys. Trying to ID the white one. I looked mine up on the grower's website. There were many similars, but 'snow appel' seems the closest match.
The first picture is one I found, it is listed as 'snow appel'. The second picture is my phal. The only difference is in the center- the back petals. Mine has speckling there, theirs does not. Otherwise it seems spot-on. What do you think?
(Also wondering if it is misspelled on grower's website, and should be 'snow apple'...)
