Spent Christmas in Atlanta with relatives; went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens the next day.

When I called to see if it was worthwhile- long MARTA and bus trip- the volunteer on the phone assured me I would be in "orchid heaven."

It was and I was. Anyone else seen the wonders there?

When I was at Ga Tech, that was simply "the public greenhouses in Piedmont Park", and it's where I got my start.

I have yet to go see it in its current state.

After all, any place that has an Orchid Hall can't be bad!

While doing a quick search on GA, I ran across this thread. Thought you might like to know... it's Orchid Daze at the Atl. Bot.! From now until the end of March. Guided tours of the orchidarium, orchid care clinics, orchid markets, orchid heaven, orchid delight, orchid on a stick (just kidding, Andy), fried orchids, boiled orchids,...Oh! Sorry. Got carried away. Anyway, ya'll come on down, ya hear?
