Vanda roots getting too long
This seems like an odd problem to have, but the roots on some of my Vandas are getting too long and I don't know what to do with them. I have them hanging in my pool cage and I can't hang them any higher, but the roots in a few cases are starting to hit the pavement under the plants. I wouldn't worry much but when it gets windy the roots drag the ground a bit and I don't want them to get ruined.
So, what should I do with them? Is cutting them an option? Should I just loop the roots back up to the basket as best as I can? Any other ideas? Leave them alone and don't worry about it?
The area they're hanging from is 7.5' off the ground. I can't shorten the hangers because the plants are to the top of the hangers.
